How exactly is a "response" counted?

One credit = one response in one column. If you have 200 respondents and select 2 open-ended questions, that is 400 credits. Category generation costs a small flat fee per column (5 credits), so the vast majority of your spend goes to classification.

What if I need to re-analyze with different categories?

Each analysis run uses credits. If you want to try a different category framework, you upload the file again and run a new analysis. There is no limit on re-runs — it just uses the standard credits.
